Wendy graduated from the Wood, Metal, Ceramics, and Plastics Degree at The University of Brighton in 1998. A short time teaching ceramics and being an assistant to a local ceramic tile maker gave her the confidence to set up a workshop of her own. She worked in a shared studio in Brighton for a while and then settled along the coast in Hastings.

She makes her own handcrafted pieces, private commissions and batch produced commercial products. She has always been fascinated by the sea and there are many aspects of nature that subtly influence her work. Living by the beach and having access to it everyday has given her endless inspiration for the colours and forms in her work.
