sinead o'moore
porcealin tea light holders by sinead O'Moore

Sinead originally is from Ireland, but has been living in London for the past 8 years.

She works with porcelain and white earthenware clay to form tea light shells evoking the fragility of eggshells, pushing each one to a unique non-uniform shape. The porcelain is kept minimal with a burnt copper edge; the translucent properties of porcelain come alive as the light dances and glows through. The earthenware shells are finished with various glazed interiors, the candlelight bounces around the glossy interior and contrasting with the natural clay exterior, which is sanded for a smooth finish.

Sinead is a believer that ceramics are to be tactile & that the viewer should want to touch & hold the pieces.
