Lorraine’s work is based on simple, organic forms combining their simplicity of shape with the fineness and purity of porcelain. She draws her inspiration from many different sources and much of her work has been inspired by the intricately linen-wrapped mummies found in ancient Egyptian tombs.
Lorraine sees her work as a reflection of herself – calm, modest and with an unassuming presence. She designs through making, observation and experimentation with materials and describe herselfmore as a creative maker than anything else.
